Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Srinagar to Aru Valley, passing through picturesque villages and river valleys. Aru serves as the base camp for the trek. Upon arrival, relax and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Altitude Gain: 7,960 ft to 9,120 ft
Difficulty: Easy to Moderate
Start your trek from Aru towards Lidderwat, walking through beautiful pine forests and open meadows. The trail has a gentle ascent with scenic river views. Lidderwat is a vast green meadow surrounded by snow-clad peaks.

Today’s trail ascends gradually with short level walks along the way. You will cross streams and enjoy panoramic mountain views before reaching Shekwas, a beautiful campsite nestled in alpine surroundings.

The trek continues with a steady ascent leading to the stunning Tarsar Lake, one of the most beautiful high-altitude lakes in Kashmir. The emerald-blue waters set against towering peaks make this campsite unforgettable.

Begin the day with a steep climb to Tarsar Pass, offering spectacular views of the surrounding valleys. After crossing the pass, descend and walk gently towards Sundersar Lake, another serene alpine gem.

An early ascent takes you close to the mystical Marsar Lake, often hidden by clouds and known for its raw beauty. From here, descend gradually through meadows and valleys to reach Homwas.

The final day involves a pleasant downhill trek back to Aru Village. Upon arrival, you will be transferred by road to Srinagar, marking the end of this unforgettable trekking experience.
